About Us

In 1997, The Artisans Market came to life in a little 400 sf store in Helen GA.  At that time, I was importing beautiful handcrafted jewelry and home decor from the artisans in Mexico and Italy. It was so unique and introduced products like chimeneas, circle of friends, hand carved wood furniture and decor, and more to our little tourist town of Helen. From there I expanded to own 3 stores, 2 in Florida and a larger location in Georgia.  We expanded our inventory to include other artisan treasures from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Mexico, plus local artist. Eventually, we downsized to the one store in Helen, and finally, in December 2023, we closed our retail store after 26 wonderful years.  But the good news is, we only closed our retail location, but we want to continue with our online business, located in Nebraska, allowing me the opportunity to travel and discover new artisans and their beautiful handicrafts.
